Save the date for House of Ruth’s 2023 Walk for Life. The walk will start and end at Journey Church located at 750 E. Mingus Ave. Cottonwood, AZ 86326. (see map w/route below)

The Walk for Life is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for House of Ruth and we need YOUR help to make it the most successful one yet! This year we will be celebrating 35 years of serving the Verde Valley Community. This has only been possible with support from local individuals, churches and businesses! We are looking forward to the next 35 years!

How to get involved:

Register for the Walk for Life and create your own Fundraising Page through FundEasy. **It’s simple to register as a family too…just check the “Register as a Family” box when you initially register yourself. Register each family member who will be walking (kids, teens and adults). You can fundraise as a whole family through your Family Page. 

Collecting donations is easy! Share your fundraising page with all your Family, Friends, Co-Workers and Neighbors. Be sure to let them know why you love and support House of Ruth. Did you know that you can easily share your fundraising page by email or to your social media accounts? Also, don't forget to email your link to friends and family too.   

Please have your sponsors either donate online using FundEasy or write a check to House of Ruth. Please bring any remaining donations to the event. We will have a quick and simplified check-in process!

Raise $100 or more…

Each person/ family member who raises $100 or more will receive a free Tie-Dye T-Shirt. All walkers will receive a free lanyard, swag and a free ice cream from Cherry’s Ice Cream Truck.

                             (T-shirts may also be purchased for $10 as supplies last, cash only)

Directions: Arrive at Journey Church at 5:00 PM for check-in.  Get your T-shirt and lanyard. A backpack or bag may be helpful to bring from home because there will be community organizations with info/swag along the route. Water will be given out throughout the walk at Oxendale’s, Ruthie’s Closet, House of Ruth and Journey Church. Restrooms will be available along the route at Ruthie’s Closet, House of Ruth and Journey Church. Join us for kick off before the walk.  Walking will start at approximately 5:40.

The Route: The walk will start at Journey Church, turn left at the Post Office and head down 6^th Street, turn left and head down HWY 89A to Walgreens, then turn left again on Main Street and walk past Ruthie’s Closet to the corner of Main and Mingus, cross the street at Circle K and then turn left at Circle K on Mingus and walk past House of Ruth (don’t forget to walk through House of Ruth) and then head back to Journey Church for ice cream, bounce houses and family fun!
