Join us in our effort to raise support and awareness for the women 18-25   years of age, aging out of foster care and/or have been trafficked.

The one (1) mile walk will take place October 15th, 9:30 -11 a.m., Downtown Newark at the square. You are welcome to walk in person, individually or with a team.   Come that day or walk on your own, anytime, any place. We trust you to walk a mile in her shoes!

OUR GOAL

Our goal is $60,000 to provide housing costs (food, housing, transportation, programs, recreation and mentors) for 5 young women to stay at the Strong Tower home for one year. We have already served 5 single ladies and one mom and baby. There are ladies in the home right now and we expect to stay full until we can build out our expansion in 2023.

Strong Tower is a safe haven for central Ohio women, ages 18-25, who have aged out of foster care and/or been trafficked.  Wholeness and help in a place to call home!

We provide the people who help each woman create a victorious path forward by providing the pillars of compassion, mentoring, life skills, education opportunities in  the crucial pillar of a home environment of safety and trust.

After more than 20 years of fostering 79 children and adopting 9, Jay and Darcey McCampbell know the array of family problems that send children into the system. they know the personal trauma children experience even when in the best of foster care. And sadly, they know the devastation so many suffer in the very system that should be protecting them, including sex trafficking.  Having each experienced trauma at an early age, Jay and Darcey personally relate to the brokenness. But having equally experienced healing and restoration, they know how to walk alongside others to bring hope and make a strong future a reality.

We collaborate with many organizations in the community and would love to partner with more professionals to serve our young ladies and we need volunteers trained and ready to mentor them on their journey to wholeness.
